DESCRIPTION:YEC has grown into one of the largest student events in WV.\n\n\n“I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken\, for he is right beside me.” (Psalm 16:7-8)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nREGISTER FOR YEC 2024 \n\nTHEME: INTERRUPTION\n“GOD IS INTERRUPTING YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED LIFE …” \nInterruptions aren’t roadblocks to our plans; they’re opportunities to embrace God’s plan. God is very comfortable with interruption. We aren’t\, but he is. Instead of getting frustrated when we experience interruptions\, what if we saw these as ways God shapes us and changes us\, and accomplishes his will in our lives and the lives of others around us? This holy interruption isn’t just about patience—it’s an invitation to true life and God’s purpose. \nAre you ready to be interrupted by God? \n\n2024 LINEUP\nSPEAKER: Clayton King –President and Founder of Clayton King Ministries and Crossroads Summer Camp\, author\, teaching pastor of New Spring Church (SC)\, and radio show host \nCOMEDIAN: Bob Smiley –We welcome our good friend\, Bob\, back to WVYEC! He has been doing stand-up comedy for over 20 years\, and is also an avid hotel shampoo collector. \nMUSIC: The Museum –Based out of GA\, with a heart to serve the next generation\, The Museum regularly leads students in worship\, including Fuge and Student Life camps. \n\n\n\nNOTE:\nGroup check in opens at 5:30 p.m. on Friday\, March 4 and YEC will kick off at 6:45 p.m.  \n\nABOUT\nSponsored by the West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptists\, the Youth Evangelism Conference (YEC) is open to youth groups from churches of multiple denominations across our state. \nThis is an opportunity for 6-12th grade students to get away from life’s distractions and focus their hearts on Christ through gospel-centered experiences that are fun and relational\, with engaging worship and sound biblical teaching. \nWe make much of Jesus at YEC and commission students throughout West Virginia to boldly live out the gospel as leaders and culture creators.
