As we celebrate 55 years as a state convention, we’re pressing even deeper into what it means to be a Family on Mission.
Over the past three years, we’ve walked through the IN+THROUGH vision together—and we’ve seen God move. More churches are giving to the Cooperative Program than when we started, and we exceeded our Ola Cox goal again last year— by nearly $20,000! Even more encouraging is the growing unity across our churches. There’s a real sense that we truly are a family on mission. This isn’t just a slogan— it’s a movement. We’re locking arms—praying, giving, going, and growing together.

As we head into fall, we want to challenge you to lead your church to take the next step in generosity:
PRAY. Intercede for those far from God across our state and the world—and ask him to use your church to make Jesus known.
GIVE. Set a bold goal for the Ola Cox State Missions Offering. Invite your church to believe God for more—and give like never before so more people in more places can hear the gospel.
GO. Step into local outreach, Disaster Relief, or missions—right here or around the world. Our ongoing Peru partnership is just one open door. Ask God to stir hearts in your church for a place or people group.
If you’re praying, give. If you’re giving, go. If you’re going—keep praying and giving. You can do all three
Ola Cox State Missions Offering + SBC Cooperative Program generosity
2025 Ola Cox State Missions goal: $100,000
West Virginia Southern Baptists are grateful for Ola Cox. Her work inspired the naming of the state missions offering in her honor in 1973. Ola Cox believed God generously gives us everything we have, including our lives. Ola’s life challenges us to give everything back to God, so that his kingdom can multiply in every way. Every penny given to the Ola Cox State Missions Offering is used for ministry in West Virginia.
SCB Cooperative Program annual need: $1,664,661
When WVCSB churches send a portion of their tithes and offerings to the state office for the SBC Cooperative Program, we collectively fuel missions and ministry within West Virginia and extend our reach to the ends of the earth through SBC missions and ministries—in and through Wests Virginia.
