“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14).
This year’s theme, “A City on These Hills,” reminds us that from the hilltops to the darkest hollers, WVCSB churches are shining the light of Jesus. Through your generosity, churches are strengthened, new works are started, and Jesus is made known in and through West Virginia.
Last year, our churches gave more than $30,000 beyond the Ola Cox State Missions Offering goal. This year, we are asking every church to take a next step. Set a bold Ola Cox goal, consider increasing your Cooperative Program giving, and help take the gospel from these hills to the ends of the earth.
God gives. We give. Churches are strengthened. People hear the gospel. And God receives the glory.

Ola Cox State Missions Offering + SBC Cooperative Program generosity
2026 Ola Cox State Missions goal: $100,000
West Virginia Southern Baptists are grateful for Ola Cox, whose faithful service inspired the naming of our state missions offering in 1973. Ola understood that everything we have, including our very lives, is a gift from God. Her example calls us to open our hands so the light of Jesus can shine in communities across our state. Every penny given to the Ola Cox State Missions Offering supports ministry right here in West Virginia
SBC Cooperative Program annual need: $1,671,390
When WVCSB churches give through the SBC Cooperative Program, we do more together than any one church could do alone. Churches are strengthened, missionaries are sent, new works are started, and the light of the gospel shines from these hills to the ends of the earth.
